21 Day Fix by Beachbody

I am officially going to start the 21 day fix by Beachbody in a couple of days!! The challenge pack arrived today and I was so excited that I opened up the box and started looking through everything before I even thought about doing an unboxing video. Woopsy! I know this is kind of a random post, but I am so excited to start this and I plan to try lots of new and healthy foods with this program and I will be sharing recipes along the way. I will also share updates on how I am doing with the program and if I see any progress and how I like it, or what I don't like about it. So stayed tuned for blog posts on all of that! I really love the Beachbody programs and Shakeology! A few years ago, I started Insanity, but was unable to finish it. I am hoping I can stick with 21 day fix! It definitely seems like a program I can stick to. I will keep everyone posted on how it goes. When you order 21 Day Fix with Shakeology you will get a meal plan, a 3 day quick fix plan, a start guide, information on Shakeology, 30 day supply of Shakeology in whatever flavor you choose(I chose chocolate), a shake recipe calendar, 21 day fix work out dvds, 21 day fix Plyo Fix dvd, 1 shakeology shaker bottle, and 7 portion control containers(2 orange, 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 red, 1 purple, and 1 green). To learn more about 21 Day Fix and other Beachbody programs go to the Beachbody website. Beauty starts on the inside, so you have to feed your body all of the right nutrients so that you feel good on the inside and exercise helps you to feel good on the outside, at least for me it does. I personally think that you feel most beautiful when you feel good inside and out! Time to get my beauty on and I can't wait to hopefully see some results! Remember eat the rainbow and get active and if you have an off day, you can always start over again tomorrow because every tomorrow is a new beginning! I know, I know it's cheesy, but it is so true! Well, I am off to get some sleep now! Goodnight all and happy dreaming!

Mani Monday: Opalescent Topper

It is Mani Monday and this paint job has an opalescent topper to finish it off! This is actually the mani I did last week, I never got a chance to post this. I gave my nails a rest this week, which I think is good to do once in a while. Your nails need to breathe too you know! Anyway on to the mani! Can you guess what polish I am using? It probably may come as a shock that it is Sinful Colors lol! I love this polish! This really is a basic polish change, with a twist. I wanted to try one of the new polishes I got. So I painted Sinful Colors Calypso on my nails. It is a beautiful, dark blue green polish with a creme finish; and it is part of their permanent line. And guys Calypso is a one coater, which makes it even better! I loved it on it's own, but I was really itching to try the opalescent toppers I had also bought. I was going to use the green one,but then changed my mind and decided to use the purple one and it turned out perfectly! It is a sheer, shimmery purple topper called Flight To See. It was released this year as part of the 2015 Sinful Colors Spring Collection and it was a new release. It was, however, limited edition, but I am sure it will pop up again in another collection, which is pretty normal for Sinful Colors. Anyway, on it's own Flight To See is a really pretty shimmery purple with a silver flux. When paired with Calypso, it turns into this very deep jewel tones purple, that has beautiful metallic looking finish! It stays dark around the edges of the nail and as your eye moves toward the middle of the nail, the light picks up the silver flux and make this purple pop! I am a fan! I can't wait to try out the green opalescent topper that I got too! So keep your eyes out for a post about that soon. Happy Monday and happy painting everyone!

Mani Monday: Sinful Colors Beaches And Cream

It is Mani Monday; and this week is another basic polish change using Sinful Colors Beaches And Cream. This is a limited edition color, that was released last summer and re-released this summer. I saw it last summer and really wanted it, but never got around to purchasing it before it disappeared off the shelves. So, when it was a sale a while back and I saw it, I decided to just get it along with a bunch of other shades that you can see in a haul video here. I love the color, but I am not a huge fan of the formula. It goes on streaky, making it a little tricky to work with and it took three coats to make it opaque. I don't mind the three coats, but streaky is a little annoying. I love Sinful Colors! The formula is almost always perfect, but every once is a great great while, you get a dud. It's a shame too, because the color is an almost perfect neutral. It isn't totally white and has the perfect amount of yellow undertone in it, making it a really nice warm neutral. It is a creme finish, which I like, but it isn't a true creme. When you see it in the bottle, you don't see the yellow as much. It looks more cream colored and it has a slight pink shimmer. Creme finishes, don't have any shimmer. However, once you paint this on your nails, you see the yellow more and that slight pink shimmer is barely noticeable, in fact you can't even see it in the picture below, which is why I would say it is more of a creme finish. I do think Beaches And Cream will be a good neutral base for nail art, which is always a plus if you like nail art! You can never have too many neutral bases! That's it for this Mani Monday review! I hope everyone has a happy Monday and happy painting everyone!

This is actually how it looks in the
bottle, you can see the slight pink

Bulu Box Unboxing May 2015

Today I have a Bulu Box unboxing to share. I got a great deal on the Bulu Box and wanted to share it with everyone! The first box I received was the May 2015 weight loss box. They do have a regular box that is geared towards health and fitness, while the one I got is geared primarily towards weight loss. You have the option to switch between the two boxes at any time just by logging into your Bulu Box account online. This is a monthly subscription box and it costs $10.00 per month. The only reason I signed up for it, is because I found a great deal on Groupon. I was able to get three months for the price of one. I do feel that three boxes is plenty to figure out if you like the subscription and want to continue it or cancel it, which is why I thought this was such a great deal! You also have the option to cancel the box at any time. If you really like something in the box, then you can go to the Bulu website to purchase the full size product. At this point, I am kind of on the fence with this box, I think I may switch to the regular Bulu Box to see if I like it better. After I get my third box, I will let everyone know if I like it and plan to continue you my subscription! To learn more about this subscription box, check out the Bulu Box website for more information. Happy Saturday everyone!

Mani Monday: Sinful Colors Nirvana

It is Mani Monday! And this week is a basic polish change using Sinful Colors Nirvana. I am absolutely in love with this color. It is part of the Sinful Colors permanent line and I just purchased it recently along with a bunch of other polishes that you can see in a haul video here. I see it every time I go to the store and every time I ignore it. It was on sale and so I decided to buy it. I don't know why I waited so long to get it. I have no other colors in my collection that are like this one and it is so much prettier than I expected it to be! It is this taupe color that tends more towards a brown with cool blue/purple grey undertones. When you see it in the bottle it definitely looks like a muddy brown, but on the nails you can see more of those cool blue/purple grey undertones that make it more taupe in color. Nirvana has a creme finish and is opaque in two coats. If you are looking for a color that is unexpectedly different, definitely give this one a try. While I got it on sale for $.99, at $1.99 regularly, you can't beat the price and the quality is amazing! Happy Monday and happy painting everyone!

Falsies Without the Falsies

Want falsies without the falsies? Keep Reading! It has been way too long since I have posted anything here! And I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for the extended hiatus my fellow beauty lovers, but I am back! I don't know how often I will post, but I will try to give this blog some love more often! So you might be asking what brings me back, right? Well, I have been a member of Influenster for a while now. What is Influenster? Well, it is a site where anyone can post reviews about things they love or don't love, because let's be real, not every product you try is going to be a win. It isn't just beauty products that consumers are reviewing here, you name it, you can probably find a review on it! The more active you are on the site, in reviewing products and answering little surveys, better knows as snaps, the more badges you earn. As you earn badges, you become eligible for different reward campaigns. One type of campaign they hold is a VoxBox Campaign, where a member gets sent a complimentary full size product to test and review. And I am so excited because I just got picked to participate in my first campaign and of course it is a beauty voxbox.
So what did they send me to try out and review? I got the YSLVoxBox!! Yes, that is right, YSL!! YSL as in Yves Saint Laurent!! And what did I get you might ask? I was selected to try out the newly remastered Original False Lash Effect Mascara by YSL!! For the 15th anniversary of this mascara, YSL re-released it with a new formula that they say won't dry out in the tube and is now infused with B5 Pro-Vitamins to help strengthen and protect your lashes, while keeping them smooth and flexible while wearing this mascara. They have also added argan oil, carthame oil, sweet almond oil, and castor oil to the formula to help keep your lashes nourished and soft. They have added all of these things to the original formula, allowing it to give you the same false lash effect it always has, but at the same time allowing it to nourish those lashes keeping them strong and healthy!

If you can't tell by my excessive use of exclamation points, I am in love with this mascara!! I will start off with the packaging. I am not a packaging junkie. I don't just buy something because the packaging is pretty or cute, but if I was in a store this packaging would definitely catch my eye. It is quite possibly the prettiest tube of mascara I now have. It is so shiny and such a pretty tone of gold.

YSL with No Flash
Now onto the brush. It is a nylon fiber brush that literally grabs every lash giving you a nice even coat of mascara! This is so great for me because for some reason I have a difficult time getting mascara on the lashes near the inner part of my eye. I always just miss them. It never looks bad, but I never get that really full lash look that I love on other people. With this it isn't a problem. I don't  know if I have to credit the brush or the formula for that, but I am a happy camper! Now there is one thing that might annoy some people, but it actually doesn't bother me. This mascara is lightly scented. I did read somewhere that it is infused with notes of jasmine and a few other things. If certain scents bother you, then you might not be a fan. However, all I smell is a hint of jasmine and it smells so light and fresh and I love it! I know for some people, it might irritate your eyes, especially if you have sensitive eyes, but it didn't bother mine at all. However, if you like jasmine, you will love this too. And last, but not least, the actual formula! Does it work? Well, the answer to that my friends, is yes it does! It lengthened and made my lashes look fuller, and with two coats, it made it look as close to false lashes as it could with my lashes! It is more of a wet formula, probably because of the oils added to it, but it drys quickly, which was nice, because I was able to apply a second coat right away! It didn't clump, which I have noticed is sometimes an issue with other mascaras that claim to do the same thing. At least, it is an issue I have. I prefer waterproof formulas because I tend to have a problem with the regular formulas flaking off throughout the day. The mascara that Influenster sent to me was not a waterproof formula and I did have that problem, but the flakes wiped away easily, so I can't really complain.

The big question is since this product was sent to me for free to try out, will I be purchasing it? The YSL False Lash Effect Mascara retails at $32.00, making this a bit pricey. However, that is expected with any high end mascara. And even though it is on the pricier side, I do believe it is worth the cost and yes, I will be purchasing it, when this tube runs out!

Overall, I'd say YSL hit the nail on the head with this one! The new formula is amazing and worth every cent. I love it!

October Glam Bag

OK, so I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I just got my October Glam Bag in the mail and it has inspired me to write. I plan to try and post more often, at least once a week as long as I have the time to do so! And I figured I would start back up with the October Glam Bag. This has honestly been one of my favorite bags in a long time! The theme of this bag is the "Bomb Shell Look". You know the look, red lips, sultry eye colors, out to there lashes, and of course that perfect black winged out eyeliner. So this is going to be an overview/review of some of the products in it that I tried. So first things first, eyeshadow! I love eye shadow, especially good quality ones! In this month's glam bag we received a sample size Coastal Scents eyeshadow quad. The colors in the quad that I got were: Vibrant Red, Frosty Taupe, Vanilla Sky, and Raisin Berry. These colors are beautiful and the color payoff is amazing! The only one I haven't tried yet is the Vibrant Red. I've never used this brand before, mostly because I thought it wouldn't be in my budget range, but after looking at the website, the prices really are reasonable! Frosty Taupe is a perfect lid color and Vanilla Sky is a perfect shimmery highlight color. I tried Raisin Berry as a crease color and I loved it, but I think it would also look pretty as a lid color.

The next product I tried was the be a Bombshell liquid eyeliner. The shade I got was in Onyx. It is very black and it applies so smoothly. I tend to stick to pencil liners, but only because I'm really comfortable with applying them. I'm always afraid I'm going to mess up the liquid liner when I use it. This liquid liner is nice though because it has a felt tip and works kind of like a marker. Because of this design, it is super easy to apply. The other nice thing about it is that it doesn't dry too fast, so if you do make a mistake, it's pretty easy to fix right away.

Bombshell Liquid Eye Liner

The next product was the Balm's What's Your Type? "the body builder" Mascara in Black. Yet again, another win! In fact, this may be my new favorite mascara. It literally made my lashes look so much longer with one coat and when I added a second, it looked like I was wearing false lashes! This is nice for me because while I love the look of false lashes, I do not actually like to wear false lashes.

The Balm's What's Your Type Mascara in Black

And the last product that I tried was the Mirenesse Lip Balm Glossy Lacquer Stain. The color I received was Lip Balm 2, which is a really deep red. This was kind of scary for me to see, since as far as lip colors go, I tend to stick to neutral or nude shades, but I tried it anyway. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. It was a little crazy seeing myself in the mirror with red on my lips, but I slowly got used to it. It applies really smoothly and is a totally build-able lip color. It isn't sticky like most glosses, well it is at first, until it dries, which doesn't take very long. Once it dries it doesn't budge and it's more of stain than anything, but at the same time feels like a lip balm. I really like it, I don't know if it's a color I would got to on a regular basis, but when I feel like spicing things up, it will definitely be my first choice!

There was one other product in the bag, but I haven't tried it yet. It was Couture Colour's Pequi Oil Treatment. It says that it is supposed to restore softness and and shine to your hair. If I can remember, I will will add a review of this later after I try it.

So last thing, I took a couple pictures using the products. So here is my October Glam Bag eye look! Oh and I tried to take a picture of my lips to show you the color on me, but my camera did not want to cooperate with me.

I used Frosty Taupe on the lid and Raisin Berry in the crease and underneath the eye for a pop of color. I used the Vanilla Sky as a highlight and on my inner corner, but my camera didn't pick it up as nicely as I would have liked. I also used the eyeliner and mascara from this bag as well! I love this look! It is a perfect look for everyday wear!

February Glam Bag

I am so excited to unbox my February Glam Bag!! One of my favorite You-tubers is Michele Phan, a beauty guru! She recently formed a company called MyGlam, which is a subscription service that sends out the Glam Bag. The Glam Bag is a cute little makeup bag, that changes every month. It is filled with 5 or 6 deluxe samples, regular samples, and sometimes even full size beauty products that the MyGlam team of stylists picks out for their subscribers to try. For only $10.00 a month it's no surprise that it sells out quickly! The February Glam Bag is the third glam bag to be sent out and the first that I have been able to receive. I was so excited when I got it in the mail! When I opened up the packaging this is what I saw!
The bag!
It is so cute! I love the hot pink with black hearts combo! What did I find when I opened up the cute pink with black hearts makeup bag that I love so much? The first thing I saw was a sample of X Out Shine Control. The X Out skin care line was created by the same people that brought you Proactive. This particular sample is an oil free moisturizer that actually gives your skin a matte finish. This is nice because it can also double as a primer for your foundation.
X Out Shine Control
The next thing that came out of the bag was a full size NYX roll on shimmer. The NYX roll on shimmers come in just about every color you can imagine; and not everyone got the same color. The shade I got is salmon. It is a really pretty peachy gold tan color with subtle hints of pink. If you want to use this product by itself on your eyes, I recommend using an eye primer first, it will help the glitter stay on your lids better!
NYX Roll on Shimmer in Salmon

I wish my camera would have picked up the colors better!
The next thing I saw was a sample of the Premier Dead Sea Cinderella Mask. The sample comes with two packets. One is a Biox Anti-Aging Complex and the other is an Instant Stretching and Revitalizing Mask. Also, inside the little pink pouch they came in is a card that tells you if you like them on Facebook, you will be entered into a contest to win a $1000 shopping spree, so that's pretty nice! I don't know much about the Premier skin care line, but the description card says that it is luxury skincare rich in life-enhancing minerals from the Dead Sea waters.
Premier Dead Sea Face Mask
The next thing I pulled out of the makeup bag was another sample facial mask. This particular mask is by Freeman Feeling Beautiful. It is a Facial Enzyme Mask in Pineapple. The front of the package says that it restores radiant skin. The back of the package says this enzyme mask, with pineapple extract and AHAs, gently efoliates while it lightly moisturzes, leaving your skin soft, supple, and younger looking. I can't wait to try this!

OK, so I have this minor, well major addiction to chocolate. I am sure there are many other people with this same problem. It is a curse, I know, but sadly we just have to live with it I guess. So you can imagine how I must have felt when I pulled out the next thing from the bag. This months bag contained a sweet treat with a note. It says:
Dear Glammies,
Here's a sweet surprise with love from San Francisco! Enjoy these decadent delights!
xoxo,
The MyGlam Team
Ghirardelli Chocolate
They were so nice to help feed my addiction with two peices of Ghirardelli chocolate. One milk chocolate and one dark chocolate! Now that I am finally posting this blog and have taken pictures of everything in the glam bag, I can enjoy these two treats! Seriously people, these things have been in my apartment for two weeks and I have not touched them yet, because I haven't had time to write this post. If you know me at all, you know how difficult that is for me to do!

I thought that was everything, but I almost missed this card that was in the bag. Let me tell you I, was super excited about this one when I found it! It is a $100 gift certificate to put towards any professional styling tools and hair extensions at NuMeOnline.com. Since I really need a new hair dryer, this came at a perfect time! Now I just need to remember to use it before it expires!
NuMe Gift Card
Overall, I love this Glam Bag and I can't wait until I get the March one! If you want to learn more about the Glam bags and MyGlam check out the web site http://www.myglam.com/. It's really easy to sign up, all you have to do is take a style quiz and there's no obligation to subscribe and if you choose to subscribe you can cancel at any time. I'd say for $10 a month, it's worth a try to see if you like it! Talk to you all soon! I'm going to go and enjoy my chocolate now! :)
